Hide and seek 😊
We never thought that we would play
A silent game that strangers sway,
Like hide and seek in moving trains,
Through passing towns and window panes.
We bonded slowly like brewing coffee,
First cautious steps, not loud, not lofty.
Guarded hearts in new places,
Unsure of what the other would do.
In crowded spaces, worlds apart,
We hid our thoughts, we masked our heart.
But slowly, through a gentle tone,
Communication found its zone.
From formal words to casual air,
We tossed small jokes to see who’d care.
A little smile then pause then wait,
To see how warmth would navigate.
And as the miles kept rolling,
Our comfort grew without asking why.
The train moved fast, but time stood still,
As shared small laughs began to fill.
We cannot name what we both meant,
Nor label what that moment sent.
But when we think of that soft ride,
A secret smile we cannot hide.
We acted first, then dropped the art,
And let the wind reveal the heart.
Just breathing in that fleeting scene,
Made simple strangers feel serene.
Those little stories, soft and brief,
Make us human — beyond belief.
